Candy Colored Buddha is the place where comfort meets glamour. It’s the perfect intersection of these two elements. My personal recipe for balance is 80% comfort and 20% glamour. As I play with design in my home and in classes (I’m currently an Interior Design student at a local community college), I am discovering more and more that my own unique footprint in both life and design is filled with these two things.

My Moodboards, I believe, reflect this constant desire to bring these seemingly disparate elements together into a harmonious whole.

This Moodboard started out really well. It was cohesive and organized and well put together. I put it aside and the next day, it looked like this. (With a little help from my four year old daughter, Isabella.)

I decided to leave it this way b/c it’s the reality of living with a child. Your life, no matter how hard you try to design it, inevitably ends up a little chocolate milk stained. And, when viewed from a certain angle, it’s actually quite beautiful.
